The Importers and Exporters Association of Taipei（IEAT）, established in 1947, is one of the major and most influential private trade organizations in the country. Its 6,000-strong membership consists largely of small and medium-sized companies from various industries in the import/export sector.
The Taiwan Association of Machinery Industry (TAMI), a group of machinery industry manufacturers, supports this move to its fullest extent by setting up the organization to promote and build the Taiwan machinery sector through the combined efforts of the industry's individual enterprises. TAMI provides information and guidance to the government, and takes part in government economic programs for the collective benefits of the machinery business.
Organized since November 2001, the Taiwan Digital Video Association promptly had members in the field of the production of digital contents, access platform of digital transmission and manufacturers of hardware at the stage of preparations. On 29 August 2002, the association held a grand opening ceremony and the 1st general assembly, electing twenty-one directors and five supervisors, together with the chairman of the Taiwan Television Enterprise, Ltd., Mr. Kuo-Chou Lai serving the post of the 1st chairman of the Board of Directors. There are 236 members and representatives in the association at the moment.
Taiwan Electrical And Electronic Manufacturers’ Association （TEEMA） is an association with a long history, an excellent tradition and a sizable yet healthy development. It is also the family of all the member manufacturers. Under the joint endeavor of the successive chairmen, directors, supervisors and the administrative staff, the organization has established a sound and performing modus operandi – a model which has striven not only for the benefits and protections for the industries, but also a communication link bridging with the government.
